Population table
[edit]Why is the entire population of Montenegro and Macedonia included in the table? It clearly says under territory that it’s southern Montenegro and western Macedonia, yet the full countries population is included. Only the small region in Serbia is correctly listed. 100.4.105.230 (talk) 08:32, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
POV map
[edit]The recently re-added map is based on fringe, inaccurate and biased sources, and it clearly promotes a point of view rather than presenting neutral information. There is no consensus to keep this map either, so the justification for its restoration is misleading.
The map implies that non-Albanians form a substantial minority in southern Albania, aligning with Greek nationalist rhetoric of so-called 'North Epirus'. However, Albania’s official 2023 census confirms that Albanians make up the overwhelming majority in the south of the country as well.
Moreover, the map suggests that Albanians constitute less than 10% of the population in certain Greek administrative regions. This claim is entirely unsubstantiated, as Greece has never conducted an ethnic census in modern times. Therefore, these figures are speculative and cannot be treated as reliable data.
My question now is: why would the user deliberately restore a clearly biased map that is steeped in Greek nationalist and extremist rhetoric?Nishjan (talk) 08:59, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- The map simply should not be in this article as it is misleading about the demographics of albania and is contradicted by amount of RS, not to mention is inherently flawed as greece has not conducted an ethnic census in modern times. Durraz0 (talk) 09:17, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
